Beach access, right from your doorstep

One of the best things about staying at Mystery Bay Cottages is how close you are to the coast. Set on 32 acres beside Eurobodalla National Park, the property has private access to Billy’s Beach, just 150 metres away. Mystery Bay Beach is also an easy walk, around 400 metres from the cottages.

No packing the car. No driving to the beach. Just grab your towel and wander down.

Spend the morning swimming or exploring the rock pools, head back for lunch, then wander down again in the afternoon. With the beach, bush and coastal walks all within easy reach, you can leave the car parked and make the most of the South Coast.

From quiet coves and rock pools to long stretches of sand, there’s always another corner of the coast to explore.

1080 Beach

A wild, open stretch of coast popular for surfing, fishing and swimming. The walk there takes you through bush and along the headland, with plenty of chances to spot wallabies and kangaroos along the way.

Corunna Lake

Just a short drive or walk from Mystery Bay, Corunna Lake is a beautiful spot for kayaking, paddling, fishing or simply slowing down beside the water. Keep an eye out for birdlife and enjoy a quieter side of the coast away from the ocean.

Wildlife is part of the rhythm of life at Mystery Bay.

Set among 32 acres of bush, grassland and coastal habitat, the property is home to an abundance of native birds and animals.

Kangaroos and wallabies are often spotted grazing in the open spaces, while echidnas can sometimes be seen along the bush tracks.

Look up and you might catch an eagle soaring overhead, or listen for the many native birds that call the property home. And if you’re lucky, you might even spot our very special albino possum – a 1 in 10 thousand anomaly – and a much-loved local around the cottages.

It’s a quieter kind of wildlife experience – simply being outside, noticing what’s around you and sharing the landscape with the locals.
